Holy Family Catholic Church

Confirmation classes for next year will begin in September and will be taught by Deacon Doug Smith. Those entering Confirmation next year must have completed at least one year in the Parish or Catholic School religious education program. Only students in the 8th grade or older will be admitted into the program. (This is a directive from Bishop Solis.) All candidates must have a baptismal certificate and proof they have made First Communion to enter the class. They must also identify who their Confirmation sponsor will be by October 1—so start thinking about it now. Requirements to be a Confirmation sponsor: he/she must be at least 16 years of age, fully initiated in the Church (received Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist), be a practicing Catholic and registered in a Catholic Parish—he/she will need a letter of permission form the Pastor if outside of Holy Family Parish, and if married, must have had their
marriage validated in the Catholic Church. Parents may not serve as Confirmation sponsors.
