All the Fridays of Lent are considered to be special penitential days. Catholics are asked to avoid any celebrations or parties especially on the Fridays of Lent to remember Christ’s suffering and death on the cross.

—All Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence from eating meat for Catholics 13 years and older.

—This year we will be praying Stations of the Cross every
Friday at 5:30 p.m. We will be using several different booklets including the popular, “Everyone’s Way of the Cross,” and “Mary’s Way of the Cross.”

—If possible, Catholics should try to attend Mass on the Fridays of Lent.
